Built by a bookseller,
for your mission.

BrandonsBooks was founded by Brandon Beebe, who started selling used books on Amazon in college as a side hustle. When COVID-19 closed book sales and thrift stores in 2020, Brandon developed the consignment model — partnering directly with libraries and Friends groups to source and sell premium inventory.

Today, BrandonsBooks works with partners across the country, generating consistent monthly income for organizations whose missions depend on fundraising — all without adding work or disrupting existing operations.

A Library's Consignment Story

A public library in the American Southwest partnered with BrandonsBooks to extract hidden value from books their collection no longer needed. This is what 14 months of selling on Amazon looked like.

A weeding problem with a profitable solution

Like most libraries, this partner had a weeding problem — not too few books, but too many going nowhere useful. Donated volumes and collection discards piled up, priced at $1–$2 at the used book table or quietly recycled. The books that could have earned real money on Amazon were indistinguishable, by eye, from the ones that couldn't.

BrandonsBooks solved that with a barcode scanner and a database. Volunteers scanned incoming books; anything flagged ACCEPT was boxed and shipped. Everything else went to the normal book sale, untouched. The library did the sorting. BrandonsBooks handled everything after — listing, repricing, fulfillment, customer service, and monthly payments.

The operational lift was minimal. The library was already processing thousands of donated books each month through their normal intake workflow.

At a 5% accept rate, roughly 300 books — 8 to 12 boxes — made their way to BrandonsBooks each month. Everything else stayed exactly where it was.
The highest single sale: A 6-volume set of Modernist Cuisine: The Art & Science of Cooking — sold for $420.00. It would have sold for $2 at the book table, if anyone had picked it up.

What made it work

📈
Compounding catalog

23 sales in month one grew to 326 by month twelve as listings ranked, reviews accumulated, and the catalog deepened. The program gets better over time, not worse.

💎
Hidden high-value books

35 books sold for $100 or more, generating $5,555 — just 1.3% of sales but 8.6% of gross revenue. Art books, reference sets, and specialty cookbooks punched far above their weight.

⚙️
Zero disruption to operations

The partner's book sale, bookstore, and donation workflow ran exactly as before. BrandonsBooks only touched the 5–10% of books that had real Amazon value. Everything else stayed in-house.

How it works for your organization

BrandonsBooks operates on a pure consignment basis: no fees, no upfront costs, no minimum commitment. You scan, you ship (using our prepaid labels), and on the 30th of each month you receive a direct payment for 50% of net profit, plus a full performance report. Shipping costs are deducted from net profit before the split — there is never an out-of-pocket expense to your organization.

Industry standard splits run 10–25% of net. Our split is 50%. Because the program only works if your organization stays in it.
